Conclusion with the browns....................hmmm.................I honestly don't know. As mentioned above, I love how the W&N are livelier but I love the granulation of the DS brand. I guess it depends on the subject or the results I'm after. (think I spelled affect/effect wrong above.........I always get them confused.....lol)

Love your comparisons. I recently bought some DS painTs and love their granular quality. Thanks for sharing your idea of comparing the various hues.
Joyce, there's no way I can give Daniel Smith pigments up entirely!! They have attributes W&N doesn't and vice versa. I'll just have to use both :-D
