Special Post - Morgan Practicing Noses

While Morgan was staying with us, we played using Procreate.  There is so much to learn using that app and I was sharing a few things I have learned.

She wanted to try working on my Ipad because of the screen protector that has a paper like finish where it doesn't feel like the apple pencil is too slick to control.   And as an exercise, she worked on drawing a nose practicing how to shade to form it.  She did an excellent job with both!!!

I love the fact my two granddaughters love to draw as it is yet another thing the three of us have in common we can work on together and share....even with the distance between us.

She's working in one of my hand sewn journals I made that she carries everywhere with her in her purse.

We haven't had a chance to move forward sharing videos on hatching and cross hatching for her to add form with hatching and cross hatching.

Madison's Latest Sketch - Owl in Graphite

Madison is my eldest granddaughter, who is 12.  The family is living with us now for awhile as they transition from West Virginia to Florida.......looking for jobs and a place of their own.

Both granddaughters (the youngest is 9) love to draw and paint and Madison just finished this last night.

Granddaughters Sketching Their Hands

Thought I would share what my granddaughters, Morgan and Madison, accomplished after showing them how to sketch an outline in graphite and using a paper stump to shade creating form and structure to their outlines

They really had a wonderful time with this new technique (new to them)  and I couldn't be prouder of both!  :-)
