I worked this little sketch with the pill bottle and after done I knew something wasn't quite right. For some reason I've had a really hard time with ellipses and perspective.
Although I'm not one to take time with VP, lines, and boxes to figure out perspective, I decided maybe I should do so this time so I could understand things a bit better. Here is an exercise I worked....
After working the exercise, I decided to print off a scan of my sketch above with the bear and using VP, Lines, and Boxes, I was able to determine the areas throwing things off.....starting with the placement of the bottle neck. However, I was off in other areas too. I may still be off a bit with the correction but it definitely looks better plus I have a better understanding than I did before. This was an informative and fun exercise for myself :-)

No Sew Folding Journal
This post is sharing a video by Cathy Johnson on making a no-sew quick folding accordion journal and what I did with my first attempt.
Cathy Johnson's youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CffQyRdTDUc&feature=youtu.be
I used a sheet of A3 Cartridge paper following Cathy's video on folding. Then decided to use this little journal for recording my Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils. I chose not to add a cover but instead used the front as title page and colored it with one of my favorite combination of primaries.
First of several pages I played with the various primary colors I have in the set. Then a page (or two) for each color I have so far. I also included the "language of color" or what each color can mean to people.
This was a lot of fun and next I will probably dig out some of my sheets of Fabriano Artistico 140lb Cold Press paper to make additional journals.

Ink Sampler Chart
Playing with inks from the Sampler vials from Goulet Pens. I used a dip pen for these in my Zeta sketchbook.
