Last night I was in the mood for just sketching with pencil. I find the blending/shading to be extremely relaxing. Was in no rush but just leisurely worked on this as I watched TV.It's from a photo I took while on holiday in the UK back in 2010. The wood carving is a long piece that has this full bodied lion along with acorns and oak leaves carved. The face is what captured my attention.
